1997/98 Brazilian GP Preview

by Markus Kruggel

On to Interlagos! Last season's race here makes us optimistic to see a close finish: in 1996/97, the first 5 drivers finished within 15 seconds. Reinhold Schatzer will be keen repeat his win from last season to get some extra points after his retirement at Phoenix. Oliver Roberts surely aims to get on the podium (at least), as Brazil 1996/97 was one of the rare occasions where three other drivers finished ahead of the champion.

The track is said to be one of the easy circuits of the season, but this also means that every little mistake can cost a driver one or two places. Take care of yourselves, there are no walls near the track so you won't bump back on the street like at Phoenix - running wide means a bit of lawn mowing :-)
